CONTRADICTION

Theme Issue 1: Contradiction

Contradictions hold a special place in the sport of philosophical analysis: they are something to avoid and resolve in the defence of an idea, or pursue and reveal in the offence of an idea, often both beginning and ending points. The unique challenge contradictions pose is what drives many philosophers’ attempts to understand the world in a clearer, deeper and more meaningful way. Given the importance of contradictions in philosophical endeavours and their power to help us to uncover new insights and revelations, we ask all submissions to embrace the contradiction in some capacity or other for issue #1 of Contralytic Journal.
